Last Play Day
Today is the last day of the play. I've given the class the day off on Monday, which means we'll have the cast party this afternoon, and then we'll strike the set on Tuesday, and then they'll turn in their journals to me. I will read them -- and it will be like dragging my privates over a board embedded with jagged shards of glass -- I will grade them, and then the semester will be over.
Then I get to spend the summer worrying about money problems, like last night (only 20 minutes of sleeplessness).
This will not be a good summer.
