How did such an illiterate get a doctorate?

And how did the illiterate doctor manage to rise to a position of authority?

And why, once in that position of authority, did she not hire a literate person to handle her communications?

I can't help but feel that this post and your last post are just two sides of the same coin.

My friend John put every rejection note he got on his door, and for a while that was fine. Then the whole door was covered and he was forced to layer. Eventually all you could see was little patches of letterhead.
Though we worried about his masochism at the time, today he's one of my most successful friends.

I'm just back from 5 days of working the San Diego Comic Con. Although every day went as well as (or better than) I could ever hope, the immediate results are much more intangible than I'd like... And this is after 23 years in the business.

Just sayin'
